Worship in July — Morning Prayer

“In the tender compassion of our God, the dawn from on high will break upon us.”
(Luke 1:78)

Worship in July will be a service of Morning Prayer with eucharist. For centuries, Christians have prayed with the rising sun—each dawn a reminder of Christ’s resurrection, which makes all things new. We gather around psalmody and scripture, prayer and silence as we ask for God’s blessing on this new day. In doing so, we begin to understand our whole lives as prayer.

This month of Morning Prayer is planned by the Worship Team as an experiment. Because Morning Prayer doesn’t necessarily include preaching, we are excited to try some different kinds of reflection that require less staff time. You might hear testimony, poetry, community conversation or preaching on Sundays in July. Hope to see you there!
